The majority of females who attempted suicide were married (63.85%), where as among males this percent was 41.37% . 82.72% of subjects who completed BDI were depressed. 57.05% of subjects had an abnormal profile MMPI. Family and marital discordance, mental disorders (mostly depression) and unemployment were the main reasons for suicide among this group.
