Institutional Relations between the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and Latin America

Abstract

After an analysis of the externa1 projection of Catalonia, its objectives and priority dimensions, the author asserts that there already exists a minimum of interna1 structure within the Catalan Administration capable of centralizing the decision-making ininternational issues as well as to promote Catalonia's internationalization in all aspects.A more detailed look at the relations between Catalonia and Latin America shows that these have been poor unti1 today, both in trade and cooperation terms.
