RESPIRATORY GASES USED IN PROFESSIONAL DIVING

Abstract

An important role in the conception, design, manufacture and operation of underwater breathing apparatuses is played by the breathing gases used in these apparatuses. The type of breathing gas used is imposed by the type of diving device used and the diving technology adopted. For the correct choice of breathing gases in the various underwater breathing apparatuses and for the precise establishment of the diving technology, it is necessary to know in detail the physical characteristics of the gases used.
