The numerous deaths occurring nowadays within the neonatology departments of the hospitals, bring to discussion the general aspects of this highly delicate and controversial field. The practitioner doctors need protocols to regulate the definitions, different clinical situations, and also the duties of the medical and care team under certain circumstances and particular procedures. The problem of life stopping in the neo-natal medicine is out of the context when we talk about other disciplines within pediatrics or adult medicine, as the new-born are beginning their lives and not ending them, and symbolically their entire life is out there waiting. That is why, the subject of this article is to initiate a debate among specialists, especially concerning the limitation and even stopping of life supporting, in delicate decisional situations.
