Highlights Thermo/pH dual-responsive micelles were formed in an aqueous solution based on host–guest interaction. The release of DOX was facilitated in acidic conditions and at temperatures above the LCST of the micelles. The drug-loaded micelles displayed higher antitumor activity than free DOX.
