When the credits of an audiovisual adaptation is the entry adjustment, at first, it seems it is a claim without further discussion. But the process is not simple as it appears, because the literary adaptations has its own universe, so how much it seems like it is something totally different. This article aims to discuss the adaptation of literary works into other languages. To do this, launch will hand the analysis of different adjustments to the audio of a classic of Portuguese literature O primo Basilio. Audiovisual versions of literary adaptations are a new production thats relations to a greater or lesser extent, with the original. The productions n question are the global series (1988), and the film directed by Daniel Filho (2007). It is seen that through the dialogue established between the culture of that word and image, any adjustment must necessarily change the text of which is a part, since it uses different signs and codes in its making, bypassing a process Replay and reframing. One of the points to be discussed by this work is to what extent these significations to do this? That is why this article will try to discuss in general terms, the dialogic and intertextual relations that arise between literature and the process of adaptation of O primo Baslio Ea de Queirs, addressing through concepts such as intertextuality, dialogism, cannibalism, and comparative literature
