Comparaison entre les caractéristiques de surface de la neige dans les Alpes, les données du satellite Landsat TM et un modèle de métamorphisme du manteau neigeux

Abstract

Two experiments were performed in the French Alps to study the reflectance of snow in the solar spectrum. This information is useful for climatological studies and avalanche forecasting. The Landsat TM data are compared to the results of a theoretical bi-directional snow reflectance model, and of a physically-based numerical model of snow metamorphism.
