Vulnerabilidade Socioambiental do Baixo Curso da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Cocó, Fortaleza-CE / Vulnerability Socioenvironmental of Down Progress of Cocó River’s Watershed, Fortaleza-CE (Brazil)

Abstract

The following study is about the vulnerability environmental, social and socio environmental of downprogress of Coco river’s watershed, at Fortaleza-CE. The methodology has been based in the use ofGeographic Information Systems to the preparation and integration of geology maps, geomorphology,vegetation, vegetation, urban infrastructure and economic and social information with the view to get thenatural vulnerability, environmental, social and finally the socio environmental. The results indicate thatthe environments of high environmental vulnerability coexist with the high social vulnerability, expandingthe socio environmentals problems of those spaces. The vulnerability mapping aims to contribute to theurban-environmental planning of watershed down progress and this sense the Geoinformation Systemhas been primordial to itself spatialization.
