Abstract:As an established concept in modern environmental philosophy, ecofeminism emphasises the need to change the unfair systems that capitalism uses to dominate women and the environment. It raises concerns about the continued exploitation of the environment, which puts humans and other non-human species in danger of going extinct. It is necessary to adopt a new economy in order to prevent this—one that prioritises opportunities for future generations as well as a prosperous life within the limits of the planet, going beyond satisfying the needs of wealthy consumers. Here, "living economies," as promoted by Vandana Shiva, become a way to guarantee life on Earth and build equitable, sustainable economies for all members of the Earth family, where nobody is denied access to the necessities of life. They are alternative economies to the free market economy, which is characterised by depletion and pollution of the Earth's vital resources. Keywords: Ecofeminism; Capitalism; Environmental Exploitation; Planet; Living Economies.
