The purposes of this study were the following: 1) to employ meta-analysis to synthesize the research projects concerning Instruction Methods in History Strand of Secondary School Level. 2) To compare the effect sizes classified by the research with different Instruction Methods in Strand History. Forty-four experimental research studies published for dissemination during 2008 - 2016 were collected for the synthesis. The instruments used were comprised of the forms to assess and to record the research qualities. The effect was compared by One-way ANOVA. Descriptive statistics were adopted to analyze the data. The study revealed these results: 1. The most number of publication was in 2010 Most of the studies were from Curriculum and Instruction majors. Most of the researches were published by Mahasarakham University and mainly were in thesis format. The research types which were studied most were the theses. The most Instruction method used the Technology. most of these research studies belonged to the Rattanakosin Historical Study Unit. Most of the data sources used came from the study sample and had customizable sample size. The class of the most population is Matthayomsueksa 1 student. A hypothesis set the most was directional hypothesis. The most research practice was randomized one group pretest – posttest design. The most number of the sample groups used were one groups and numbers of sample group was 31-40 samples and numbers of control group was 31-40 samples. Independent variable Instruction method was the most studied pattern while the dependent variable which was mostly studied in collaboration with the achievement was the Satisfation. Research instrument being used the most in data collecting was achievement. The type of instrument that was test used in these research works is validity and discrimination. Standard statistics used the most were mean and Standard Deviation and t-test was used to test research hypotheses. 2. The best Instruction method affecting the student’s achievement was the cooperative learning, learning managements based on constructivism theory, technology, blended learning method and historical method. They were placed in the order of the highest to lowest qualities. The achievements of the students who learn the cooperative learning affecting achievement higher than technology, historical method and blended learning method was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05, other pairs of learning arrangement had no different effect on learning arrangement.
