FRACTAL ANALYSIS OF CONFIGURATION OF LAKES IN KARELIA

Abstract

The application of fractal analysis methods for studying the lakes in Karelia for which we possess reliable and high-quality factual evidence is considered in the paper. It is indicated that the most reliable correlations exist between a fractal dimension and coastline development coefficient.
