This paper readdresses the work published in the book Transnacionalização de Educação: da crise da educação à “educação” da crise, with the objective of interrogating three of the issues it raises: 1) the use of the concept of transnationalization in the title (rather than globalization, for instance); 2) the conception of social change that underlies the “crisis in education”; and 3) the relationship between regulation and emancipation.
