In this study, the antireflection effect of CdS and ZnO/CdS layers was investigated via computing and solar cell I-V graphs and efficiency of the solar cell is simulated using the SCAPS. The lowest average reflectance value for single layer CdS was calculated as 13.43 %, for ZnO/CdS double layer 9.46 %. The efficiency values of CdS/p-Si/p+-Si and ZnO/CdS/p-Si/p+-Si heterojunction solar cells were calculated by changing the CdS and ZnO thicknesses from 40 nm to 80 nm. The highest efficiency value for the CdS/p-Si/p+-Si structure was calculated as 20.30 %. The efficiency value for the ZnO/CdS/p-Si/p+-Si heterojunction solar cell was increased to 21.82 % with the effect of the ZnO layer.
