WHOM DO THOSE WHO CARRY OUT THEATRE STUDIES RESEARCH FOR?

Abstract

The present study tries to elaborate a possible answer to the question: whom do those who carry out theatre studies research for? Apparently, in the academic environment, the most reasonable answers concern the subjects towards whom our entire concerns are directed: the students! Are the students partners in the professors’ research activities or only beneficiaries of the research? Or both?! Is research, within an academic community, one ‘together with „or strictly for the students?! The study offers also an example of good practice concerning open research.
