Folie à deux, also known as shared psychotic disorder, is a rare condition where one person who typically has a psychiatric disorder develops delusions that are shared with another person. This report describes how, within a marital relationship, this shared psychosis dynamic occurs, perpetuated by a family dynamic of psychodynamic interest and the coexistence of psychiatric diagnoses within Axis I and Axis II, which can impact prognosis and management.
