Activities of police constables and patrols in prevention of criminal actions in the sector security
Abstract
Lately less and less attention has been paid to the essential (basic) police activity taking place in the sector security. We consider this to be completely unjustified, since all police operations are taking place in the security sector and without the police acting on it efficiently, it is impossible to expect successful prevention of crime. The police organization is not able to effectively deal with crime prevention if it fails to perform its activity in the security sector. The security sector is a central element of police activity and the place where the most important police activity takes place, the place where the results of police work are created and manifest. In this paper, attention is focused on the activities of the police in the security sector in order to point out the great importance activities of police constables and patrol activities in the function of crime prevention. Also, through the work will be pointed out certain factors that in the past period negatively influenced the efficiency of performing activities of police constables and patrol activities.
