La Ley de Instituciones Locales de Euskadi: visión general y encuadre del nivel institucional

Abstract

This study tries to provide with a general overview of the new Act on Local Entities of Euskadi. This act deepens local autonomy so as to reach the territorial threedimensionality of Euskadi in its institutional, competences and financial aspects. Besides it grants to municipalities a broad level of competences and it retains the management of public services within the local level. It establishes its own institutional model based on historic rights, specifically recognized by the reform of State Act on Local Regime from 2013 and with the support of the Basque Economic Agreement.
