This study was carried to determine the opinions of 6th, 7th and 8th year students about the folklore course activities electively given in the primary education. This study is expected to contribute to development of the course by comparing the opinions of the students according to various parameters. The data of the study, carried out by the descriptive method, were collected by the survey forms developed by the researcher. The results obtained were evaluated by the use of SPSS statistical software and the solution of the sub-problems was carried out by the use of frequency (f), percentile(%), arithmetic mean ( Χ ), t-test and one way variance analysis (ANOVA). It was found that the opinions of the primary education students showed a meaningful variation according to gender, the place they spent their holiday and their academic success in Turkish course. It was also found that the opinions of the student did not show a significant change on the town in which their school is located, the games they most preferred and whether they were living with grandmother or the grandfather.
