Teachers representations about the role of school supervision in Basic Education
Abstract
Study aims to know and understand the context in which the figure of the educational supervisor is part of the Basic School everyday. The research presents bibliographic elements and results of the application of a questionnaire to elementary school teachers of schools of Rio Grande do Sul municipality of Novo Hamburgo. Analysis holds in the theoretical perspective of cultural history valuing everyday elements of the practices developed by school supervisors. It is used in addition to the testimony of ten teachers surveyed documentary methodology for construction of empiricism. It appears that, in the perception of teachers, the main duties of the school supervisor are: the follow-up work of students, teachers and bureaucratic actions.
