In order to study the influence of the ambient temperature on the coal dust absorption rate of the heading face under saturated water mist condition, a self-designed ultrasonic atomization moisture adsorption experiment system was used to create a saturated water mist environment, and the water absorption capacity of coal dust under different environmental temperatures was measured. The results of the study indicate that the ambient temperature has a greater influence on the wettability of coal dust under saturated water mist condition. In the temperature range of 20 ℃ to 40 ℃, as the temperature increases, the water absorption rate of coal dust with the same metamorphic degree increases first and then decreases. Under the same ambient temperature, as the degree of coal dust deterioration increases, the water absorption rate gradually decreases. Coal dust with different degrees of metamorphism has the highest water absorption rate at the temperature of 27.5 ℃ in a saturated water mist environment. As the quality of coal dust increases, the number of hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups in the molecular structure of coal continues to decrease, the number of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon groups continues to increase, carbon structure functional groups increase, and coal dust water absorption decreases.
