Comparative study between different methods of agglutination in multiple response optimization
Abstract
This work aims to evaluate the performance of the agglutination functions Desirability, Modified Desirability and Commitment Programming , applied in the optimization of problems with multiple response. The performance of the agglutinating functions was measured through the Average Percentage of Deviation. In order to apply the proposed method, three problems containing multiple responses were selected in the literature. The results obtained for the selected case studies indicate a better performance of the modified Desirability agglutination function for the simultaneous optimization of multiple responses, especially when these responses are modeled by equations containing quadratic terms, regardless of the number of terms, type of responses and Number of variables they may contain. The methodology and results presented in this study aim to collaborate with the research, development and evaluation of advanced techniques for the optimization of problems with multiple responses that are relevant in the search for specifications to increase efficiency in industrial processes.
