The article considers the simulation technology as the most effective innovative professionally oriented technology used both in the process of teaching students and in extracurricular activities. The goals of using simulation modeling in professionally oriented extracurricular activities of future math teachers are listed. The article describes role-based simulation in extracurricular professionally oriented activities of graduate students in the direction of «Pedagogical education» (profile - mathematical education) of Saratov State University: preparing and conducting a series of classes in the discipline «Elementary mathematics» in various interactive forms (auction, mathematical races, competitions, mutual learning in a group, etc.), planning, organizing and conducting a school Olympiad in mathematics for Junior students, preparing and conducting a «competitive» lesson for second-year students. Conclusions are made about the influence of simulation modeling on the formation of a stable professional orientation, professional motivation and professional position of future math teachers, the development of personal and professionally significant qualities, the development of an individual style of activity, reducing the number of professional errors at the stage of professional adaptation and entry into independent professional activity. The results obtained can be used in organizing extracurricular activities of students-teachers in professional education institutions.
