Abstract

Reffering to the Platonic tradition, the second speech represents a corrective to the first one, published under the title Subtle Mise-en-scènes of the Middle Ages. In it, author studies the process leading to catharsis, or enlightenment, trying to legitimize the sense of passion as complementrary to the asceticism.
