The proposition of itineraries that integrate geological aspects to the history of the place where they are inserted functions as a tool to promote heritage and environmental education. A geotouristic route crossing points in the Natal Historic Center of Natal is justified, as, during the city ́s evolution, rocks extracted from quarries and deposits in its outskirts were used in monuments and sites. Ferruginous sandstones, calciferous sandstones and granites were the rocks used. Besides contributing to the popularization of Geosciences, geodiversity highlighted in the script is useful from the touristic, architectural and historical point of view. The itinerary has 12 stops and could be followed by oneself, supported by an informative folder, or under the guidance of a professional who knows geotourism.
