We report a 65-year-old female patient who developed amitriptyline-associated palpitations, dizziness and prolonged QTc interval, four months after therapy had started. The electrocardiogram demonstrated prolonged QTc interval of 505 ms. After cessation of amitriptyline all symptoms reversed and QTc interval normalized to 420 ms.
