For the first time, the article considers the problem of justice in the context of social work. The role of social work in the implementation of justice in modern society and the social work system is shown. The requirements and conditions for the implementation of social justice in Azerbaijan are justified. The author concludes that social work is an important element in the implementation of the social idea of the state, because the phenomenon of social work as a type of professional activity means the establishment of social justice and the restoration of personal opportunities in difficult life. Professional social work is primarily aimed at protecting the most vulnerable groups and strata of the population, creating conditions for each individual to use their creative potential, access to benefits, duties and situations, the implementation of the principles of social justice. Therefore, the role of social justice in professional social work is irreplaceable. Thus, the main purpose of social work is to prevent social injustice, which undermines the foundations of a social state.
