Abstract
Two volcanic eruptions in Western Iceland could be dated by means of C14. Hallmundarhraun (with the lava cave Surtshellir and the waterfalls Hraunfossar) has an age of 1190 years B. P., Sydri-Raudamelskúla 2615 years.
