Bestimmung der Teilchengrößenverteilung von Polystyrol- und Polyvinylchlorid-Dispersionen mit der Scheibenzentrifuge

Abstract

The particle size and distribution of monodisperse polystyrene and technical poly(vinylchloride) latices in the micron and submicron range are determined by the measurement of the sedimentation time in a disc centrifuge. A comparison of the results determined by centrifugation and electron microscopy is given. The results are in good agreement. The possibilities and limitations of the method for a quantitative determination are discussed.
