Web-Geoinformation System of the Botanic Garden of the Petrozavodsk State University

Abstract

The article describes the main stages and results of creating a new version of the geographical information system of the Botanic Garden of the Petrozavodsk State University, accessible on the Internet. Recommendations and examples on the use of the system are given. Web-GIS contains a large amount of structured information about the entire territory of the botanic garden, integrated into a single system, comprising of 55 thematical layers with a detailed description of each of them.
