In this paper, we write a program script for rapid generation of earthquake emergency thematic maps using Python language. When an earthquake occurs, the personnel on duty will trigger the program. The system can automatically acquire the three elements of earthquake, earthquake influence field and epicenter distance produced by the earthquake disaster assessment system. Then the program will use the template of earthquake emergency thematic maps. The rapid production of earthquake thematic maps can be realized within 5 minutes after the earthquake. This program effectively solves the problems of difficulty, low efficiency and quality of seismic mapping, and can provide strong technical support for earthquake emergency rescue.
