Influence de la dimension d'une tige et de son clouage sur la capacité de repousse de piquets vivants en milieu tropical
Abstract
Influence of the stem dimension and its nailing on its growth capacity of living pickets in tropical environment. Eleven species of trees with stems which are able to multiply by cutting and using them as living pickets of enclosure are used to study the influence of the stem dimension and its nailing (fixation with barbed wire) when being put in the soil on the growth capacity of the stem. The stems are grouped into three categories following their dimensions and each category is subdivided in two subclasses depending on whether the stem is fixed with barbed wire or not when it is put in the soil. To appreciate whether certain stems can withstand the fixation with barbed wire, a sample of stems is taken at random from each species and has been nailed.
