Les universités françaises sont-elles sûres ? Une enquête de victimation dans les campus marseillais
Abstract
Based on victimization surveys carried out on university campuses in Marseille (France), this article reveals how the nature of delinquency and incivility is perceived and experienced by students, showing that they differ according to their urban location. The results of the survey allow us to shed light on the prevalence of victimization, the profiles of victims, and also allows us to measure the fear of crime in an institution that welcomes a significant part of young adults. This article fills a scientific void regarding our knowledge of the student world at a time when questions of security in these public places are the subject of much debate.
