In order to determine the change of hydrogen embrittlement performance of the NZ-70 series of alkaline zinc-nickel plating process under long-term service conditions, the influence of the concentration of brightener NZ-73 on the hydrogen embrittlement of the coating was studied by notched round bar tensile test, and the influence of the concentration of zinc ions, nickel ions, sodium hydroxide and coordination agent NZ-71 in alkaline zinc-nickel plating solution on the hydrogen embrittlement of the coating was studied by hydrogen meter. Results showed that the concentration of brightener had the greatest effect on the hydrogen brittleness of the coating. The hydrogen permeability of the coating decreased significantly when the brightener concentration was 0.1 ml/L,but it could still pass the notch rod test. The hydrogen brittleness decreased significantly when the brightener concentration was 0.5 ml/L,and it could not pass the notch rod test. The effect of other components on the hydrogen permeability of the coating was in the order of NaOH >NZ-71 >Ni2+ >Zn2+.When the contents of sodium hydroxide and complexing agent NZ-71 were low,and the contents of Zn2+ and Ni2+ were high, the hydrogen permeability of zinc-nickel plated coating was the best.
