This contribution will provide information about the possibilities and limitations of theuse of discursive analysis of textual data with thehelp of the statistical program Hamlet 2.0. It consists of two mutually interconnected parts. In thefirst part of the contribution, the theory of themethod of discursive analysis will be discussed. The second part will be focused on the applicationof the statistical program Hamlet 2.0 in practice. This will be shown using the example of a partialdiscursive analysis of state administration and self-government relating to Islam in the Czech Republic, which was part of the project „Islam in CZ: Theestablishment of Muslims in Czech public spaces“.Readers will be apprised of all steps in the analysisusing the program Hamlet 2.0, which include se-lection of the texts, their preparation for analysis, the data analysis itself and possibilities for the finalinterpretation of results. On the basis of this practical example, the advantages and disadvantagesof this program for applied anthropo-sociologicalresearch will also be presented.
