Medzi dejinami filozofie a sociálnou filozofiou: aktuálna pentalógia Františka Novosáda (Between History of Philosophy and Social Philosophy: A Current Pentalogy of František Novosád)

Abstract

The article reviews the current five books of one of the most important Slovak philosophers František Novosád within the context of his lifelong work devoted to the history of (modern) philosophy and social philosophy. These works provide the deep and original interpretations of M. Weber’s and K. Marx’s diagnoses of modernity as well as of Neo-Kantian legacy in transcending epistemology towards philosophical anthropology. The key contribution of Novosad’s philosophy consists in his „dialectical realism“ as applied to philosophy of culture and metaphilosophy, illuminating crucial aspects of contemporary thought and social action.
