Protocol for oral transplantation of maternal fecal microbiota to newborn infants born by cesarean section

Abstract

Summary: Infants born by cesarean section have an intestinal microbiota that differs from that of infants delivered vaginally. Here, we report a protocol for performing oral transplantation of maternal fecal microbiota to newborn infants born by elective cesarean section. The crucial step of this protocol is the health screening process.
