PIANO CONCERTO BY GALINA USTVOLSKAYA IN THE STYLISTIC PANORAMA OF HER CREATION

Abstract

The article considers the early Piano Concerto (1946) by Galina Ustvolskaya which opens a list of works in the catalog created by the author of the music. In this initial work the composer’s bright, unique, very extravagant style is already evident. The role of such a percussion piano treatment has become relevant for the Russian piano music in the subsequent decades.
