A Sophisticated Touch of Feminism in the poetry of Fawzi Al-Ma’luf

This article is an Urdu translated effort about introduction of renowned Arabic poet Fawzi al-Ma’luf, a feminist poet of Emigrant Arabic Literature. When we think of feminist poetry, we think of him in a highly appreciated frame of humanity, and hi is one of the most influential poets from Modern Period of Arabic Literature, who has migrated to Amercia, when enemies attacked on his homeland. Emigrant Arabic Literature is very rich in its thoughts and contents, but Feminism is rare a component of this Literature, which is found in Fawzi Poems. He experienced migration, and hi is known to us as a “Poet of love, intuition, beauty and truth”. Fawzi wrote about his heartiest respect towards women by transferring his honest and true thoughts and his sympathetic feelings reflects by his transparent views and sentiments in his poems. Fawzi al-Ma’luf indicates in his International Feminist Poems about issues related to women, the role of their fairness and innocence in their characters, passionate love towards men, motherhood, but he goes to perfectly describe the secrets of a greatest share of a woman in the spiritual love of an ideal bride of the paradise of dreamlands etc. Fawzi is also counted in between poets who wrote about women by raising such beautiful, delicate and sophisticated points to highlight the status of women in society and this type of struggle by feminists for the rights of women is now a school of thought.
