In this work we analyze the need of teacher´s training for Middle School and High School, in all phases, as a basic pillar in which the progress of the education is supported in the new social and educational scenarios. We check the history of the teacher´s training for Secondary Education in Spain, and analyze the problems that originates to start a program of formation in a hurried way, after 30 years of criticism of a system of education planned without bearing in mind the formative vision that was constructed from the didactic investigation. Basing ourselves on the theoretical proposals and practical experiences of other European and American formative models, we establish some plan of action for a future that should be immediate, from national experiences and the available knowledge.
