In the early 90s, the fall of the Sandinist regime in Nicaragua and the drafting of the peace agreements in Salvador put an end to decades of internal wars. It was the time for demobilization and reintegration of politico-military players. Many former FMLN revolutionary guerillas or officers of Sandino’s state party are now at the head of development NGOs, humanitarian organizations or even indigenous movements. Their trajectories are representatives of ambiguous “remobilizations” that are inserted between the reconversion of politico-military visions and a democratic conversion. This leads us to wonder which role have played those organizations in the reconversion of the armed players and in the reconfiguration of their political practices after the end of the Salvadorian and Nicaraguan armed conflicts?
