O social bate à porta do audiovisual: o debate sobre violência urbana a partir do documentário Notícias de uma guerra particular

Abstract

From the documentary Notícias de uma guerra particular (João Moreira Salles and Kátia Lund, 1999), we intend to draw a discussion on the state of urban violence in Brasil by means of four topics provided by the movie: drug traffic, the insertion of youth in crime, the positioning of the police and the search for protection and legitimacy by young people involved in crime.
