In order to measure the junction temperature of power equipment, a novel strategy of temperature measurement based on surface acoustic wave passive wireless temperature sensor is designed. The antennas and the matching methods of antennas and sensors are also discussed. In the design, the reader antenna is designed as the planar inverted-F antenna, and the sensor antenna is designed as the normal mode helical antenna. By simulation analysis and optimization design, the center frequency of the antennas both are 915 MHz and the voltage standing wave ratio are less than 1.5, meeting the system requirements. The matching method of the planar inverted-F antenna is obtained through the location change of the feed point. The smith v2.0 is utilized to match the normal mode helical antenna. Finally, both antenna designs meet the requirements with the impedances of about 50 Ω.
