Abstract : In this search , the effect of type and configuration of electrical charging circuit on the operating and performance of a pulsed TEA CO₂ laser sysstem were investigated . An analysis of electrical circuit used was presented and the results obtained indicated the possibility of operation with high conversion efficiency of electrical laser energy using a single - capacitor charging circuit . The characteristics of the charging circuit and its effect on laser system performance were introduced through voltage - current measurements . The parameters of electrical circuit were determined and charging efficiency of 70 % was deduced .
