Studies on the stem anatomy of Brsssica oil to lodging

Abstract

Using sliding microtome and safranine-fast green double stain to study the basal stem anatomy of Brassica oil (resistant to lodging of S58, S59, not resistant to lodging of Shuang 8). We emphatically analysed the thickness of epidermis, cortex, pith and the density of vacular boundle of 40× field of vision. The results showed that there were closely related of the cortex thickness and vascular boundle density to lodging.
