Turismo di guerra, turismo di pace: sguardi incrociati su Italia e Francia
Abstract
This contribution deals with the link between tourism and the opposite concepts of war and peace during the two World Wars, comparing the Italian framework and the French one. After a brief introduction about the main contemporary war impacts towards tourism and the features of this economic sector in war contexts, it focuses on the so-called “war tourism”, developed during the final stage and the aftermath of the Great War. Finally, it examines the role of “peace tourism” in the building up of an international peaceful order, after the end of the Second World war.
