Modern technological route of converter production of qualitative iron-carbon semi-product in raw material and energy conditions of Ukraine
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of a number of issues related to improving the competitiveness of metal products of Ukrainian enterprises by reducing the cost of its production while improving its quality. It is shown that the main components of the cost of manufacturing metal products are high energy and material costs in blast furnace production. Based on the results of a comparative analysis of the structure of technological routes for the production of iron-carbon semiproducts at metallurgical enterprises in Ukraine and abroad, it is shown that it is advisable to use blast furnace technology at Ukrainian enterprises by partially replacing coke with pulverized coal, involving metallurgical waste in sinter production, and removing restrictions on the content of harmful impurities in pig iron (S and P), a decrease in the temperature of cast iron and the content of silicon in it. It is proposed to solve the problem of increased sulfur and phosphorus content in cast iron outside the blast furnace by desulfurization in the pouring ladle by injection of magnesium in the carrier gas stream, and dephosphorization in the oxygen converter by using an oxygen lance of a special design. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of various technologies of cast iron desulfurization performed by the authors of the article convincingly illustrates the advantages of cast iron desulfurization technology by injecting granular magnesium in a neutral gas stream through an immersion lance (ISI technology) over other technologies. To solve the phosphorus problem, a doublecircuit lance of a fundamentally new design is proposed, equipped with an independent controlled supply of basic (about 800 m3/min) and additional (about 150 m3/min) oxygen with the possibility of replacing it with nitrogen at the desired melting periods.
