Prácticas artísticas y activistas feministas en el escenario electrónico. Transformaciones de género en el futuro digital / Artistic practices and feminist activists in the electronic scene: Transformations of gender in the digital future
Abstract
RESUMEN: Hablar de feminismo, Internet, arte, y activismo es hablar de creación experimental, de comunicación, de interactividad, de investigación y de asociación. Es ante todo situarse en un territorio expandido de posibilidades no sólo tecnológicas sino conceptuales y de acción en torno a la definición de la identidad y del género. Si hace veinte años el ciberfeminismo era una práctica surgida en el contexto artístico y activista vinculada a la aparición y, por tanto, a la experimentación de una nueva tecnología –Internet-; hoy en día se observa un desarrollo multidireccional -un espacio híbrido de creación y activismo construido a través de las nuevas tecnologías digitales-. El objetivo del artículo sería el de analizar las distintas posibilidades de discursos y narraciones de intervención artística y activista desde la diversidad de posiciones feministas en el escenario de las nuevas tecnologías de comunicación e información. ABSTRACT: To speak about feminism, Internet, art, and activism is to speak about experimental creation, communication, interactivity, investigation and association. It is above all to place oneself in an expanded territory of possibilities, not only technological but also conceptual, and of action concerning the definition of identity and gender. If twenty years ago cyberfeminism was a practice that arose in an artistic and activist context linked to the appearance, and therefore, to the experimentation of new technology - Internet-; today we can observe a multidirectional development - a hybrid space of creation and activism constructed through new digital technologies-. The aim of this article would be to examine the different possibilities for discourses and narratives of artistic and activist intervention stemming from the diversity of feminists positions within the setting of the new technologies of communication and information.
