Generalized Simulation of Functional Safety for Fault Tolerant Computing Cluster

Abstract

Standard cluster configurations are considered usable for quality data processing. The term functional safety is introduced based on the concepts of reliability and performance in query processing. The general simulation technique is proposed for estimating functional safety of cluster. The technique is implemented in GPSS World Programming Environment, and it has provided the estimates of data processing quality in cluster.
