It's 1977 and the Modern Art Gallery of Bologna, Italy, organizes the International Week of Performance, which presented the works of artists of the so-called performance art. The format is successful, so it's replicated again the following two years with suitable variations: in 1978, with the consultancy of Franco Quadri, the Second International Week of Performance: Theater of post-avantgarde. Sound poetry, gestural poetry and plastic animation poetry takes place and finally, in 1979, the Third International Week of Performance. New Dance, with the consultancy of Leonetta Bentivoglio, a dense program of performances with important representatives of the international dance scene, such as Steve Paxton and Simone Forti, together with emergent artists of an Italian new dance still searching for itself, but already alive.
