Fracasso escolar: reflexões sobre uma história antiga, mas atual

This work considers to establishing a reflection on the story of an American pupil regarding its pertaining to school process, which was published en 1940. The present text searches to disclose the present time of this described situation, in education terms, in spite of the cultural or secular differences. The data contained in the story will be argued having itself as base the Critical Theory that considers geneses social-historic-politics of the problems the scholar failure. The reflection aims to establish a critical analysis on the school process that many times was supported by the psychological findings, continues blaming the pupil for the scholar deficiencies in terms of failure and low academic income. This text indicates the incoherence in the evaluation of the repeating pupil, protagonist of story, disclosing his skills, from its proper story, in the attempt to dislocate the individual causes and solutions for reflections on the pertaining to school process as producing the failure.
